iTalk - Christopher Desantis

iTalk - Christopher DesantisThe response to this ad is reminescent of another popular iPhone ad created in the summer of 2006 by Christopher and Greg Desantis.  In the spec commercial, they posed the idea that the iPhone would be called the iTalk, and that it would involve a "flip" mechanism allowing its full touchscreen to be protected when not in use.  The video also featured the hypnotic music of Zero 7, performing their song "In the Waiting Line ". The ad was so popular that it garnered over a half million views in a very short time, eventually being mentioned even in mainstream print publications like the New York Times and Stuff Magazine.  A veritable bounty of attention for an expert presentation of an imaginary product that had yet been announced.
